Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) One Day Course
This course is designed for First Aiders who may be nominated in the workplace, low risk environments such as small offices.
The protocols for this course are the following..

Role of the First Aider
Recovery
Unresponsive Adult

Control Minor and sever bleeds
Assessment
The course is continuous observations and a written assessment
This HSE Recognised First Aid Course provides a comprehensive set of Practical skills for First Aiders in the workplace, It is recommended for the High Risk sector such large companies. This Course is a Three day course with ongoing assessments and a written paper.

This One Day Course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective, it is aimed at anyone who is going afloat...
It covers Inland waterways, along with Rivers, Estuaries and or Cross Channel Passages....
This Course can also be taken on the RYA Website....
The Specific Subjects to boating include
The recovery of a person in a confined space
CPR, including drowning protocol
Cold Shock and Hypothermia from Immersion and or exposure
Seasickness and dehydration
Medical assistance by VHF
Helicopter Rescue
